A new Sumatran tiger was born at the Woodland Park Zoo check out the pictures at the link. Working behind the scenes at a zoo and bottle feeding an endangered animal... I think i just added something new to my career list. I wonder what kind of degree you have to have to do that.

In other Woodland Park Zoo news, an anonymous family donated 6 million dollars for a new penguin exhibit. Animals are great and all but if I had 6 mil to give away I'm pretty sure that I would give it to help some people. But hey, whatever floats their boat. You should read about the Nobel Prize winner for 2006. Mohammud Yunus. He started out with $27 in his pocket, went out to the poor slums behind the college where he was a Professor and started out by loaning people like $1.50 to get out from under the loan people who would kill them if they didn't pay them back.
His mission is to combat world poverty by giving small loans to poor families but mostly women in over 20 countries to start their own businesses and get on their feet. He now has a huge organization which has helped like 2.7 million families so far. Hey, I just looked him up again and it led me to Kiva.org. how bout that. anyway, you should go to his site, it's pretty much awesome.

In other news, Bill Amend, who draws the Foxtrot comic, is retiring!! Noooooooooo! What I'm going to do without my daily foxtrot?!?! At least he's still drawing them for Sunday's paper. He said something lame about actually wanting a life or something... ;p

the eleventh hour
that was a great book. ever read it? Something about an elephant and a birthday party. turns out it was Kilroy and his 111 mouse relatives who stole the feast. confused? read the book.
It's 11:09 pm. tomorrows Christmas eve!!! Hip hip hooray!
I would be in a better mood but I'm watching "Proof of Life." Pretty darn depressing movie. I hate depressing movies!! Why do people watch them anyway? Like their lives aren't bad enough already? Who makes this crap? not to mention they must use the "f" word every other word to make it seem real. ... on the other hand i could just not watch the movie. ... genius!!! Why didnt i think of that before?
So on another note, this is my brother and I on Christmas morning ten years ago. Crazy stuff huh? Aren't we so cute? My mom would take like 15 pictures until she got one she liked. "moooooomm... can't we just open the presents?!? Look at how tired we look. hahaha...

Anyway, time to get some sleep. Have a merry Christmas !!

Unidentified Frying Object

barf pan? no. "chicken fried steak." ha.hahaha.ha.ha.ha. Dont ask me why they consider a hamburger covered in brown mush, sitting in a white sauce a Chicken fried steak. Why am I showing this aesthetic piece of food to you? because sadly enough, it tastes good. appearances can be deceiving. There once was a guy who took a picture of his food every meal, every day for like six years and then posted them on his wall. he made it into the guinness book of world records. ooooook.... he probably made it into the looney bin too...
right now im listening to a CD called the "Child of Promise" It's a really neat song version of the Christmas story. It has Christian artists playing each character, amazing vocals and extremely varied musical scores. its not the same old, same old anymore. right now the song "Glory to God." by Gabriel and the Angels. It sounds akin to a very energetic black baptist choir. pretty much amazing. you should check it out. go to http://www.parable.com/familynet/spotlight_33.htm to find out more.
